We spent our first weekend in the Big Apple finding our way around and setting up the apartment. We made a trip to the Farmer’s Market at Inwood Hill Park about 2 blocks away from our house. Some pictures from the Farmer’s market are posted. Even Chuck Norris could have found something to eat there!

After a stop at Papa Beard Sweets for some of their famous cream puffs, we did some more shopping at Fairway, which was a neat experience and lived up to the hype! We asked what was on the second floor, and the worker told us, “Same thing, but organic.” We hope this makes certain relatives of ours in Colorado rest assured that they will be able to find food to eat when they come to New York to visit.

While we were in the organic section, I bought a can of organic minestrone soup that we ate when we got home in honor of a co-worker (Dr. Bat Man) from Ohio Health Center in Columbus. Since it was in the 60’s this weekend, it was very good.
